Up in the Colorado Rockies off the Interstate 70 (I-70) on the State Highway 40 is a little village called Tabernash. Rich and Tim have their cabin (see photo ->) located in the hills nearby. It is about a 90 minute drive from Denver. We (there was also Mark and JD) spent much of the weekend there. There wasn't enough snow to ski, and to much to go for a decent walk, so we played scrabble, dominos, ate food, put up christmas decorations, watched movies (one was the "The Wizard of Oz"), and broiled ourselves in the outdoor spa with the snow falling. All in all, a great relaxing, fun time was enjoyed by all in this wonderfully appointed house and the hospitality of Rich and Tim.
On arriving back in Denver, with snow covered, icy roads the temperature was colder than the mountains (it is now -20°C / -4°F). A clear day has been predicted tomorrow.
