Travel 2008 - Part 1(a) The blogg

There appears to be a keen Play on Words around here:

Supermarket shopping is something a tourist should always experience - to see how other supermarkets deliver the same stuff to your kitchen. King Soopers in Colorado is one such shopping experience I enjoy. What I enjoy are the isles of choice and the amount. Not just a few choices of Tacos for dinner, but I whole wall of them, and then there are the ice creams.

Fast food is something we like or have to do every now and then. Souper Salad is one of those Restaurants that just don't pay lip service to food. There are more greens there than in Mr Watties (or Heinz, or McCain Foods) garden.

With Rich, Tim, and Doug we went to see a movie called Religulous (a play on words between Religion and Ridiculous I think). For those doubting Thomas's who wonder about an existence of God - well this could convince you that there isn't one to be had. So for those who think there is a Heaven and are investing in it right now .....

Elections (USA), Elections (New Zealand) and Elections (Canada):
The elections here in the United States are continuing to be hotly followed by some people. 66 million apparently watched the debate (?) between the prospective Vice Presidents (Biden - Democrat (Left), and Palin - Republican (Right)). Nothing much was said, and they both left with no egg on nobodies face. The presidential candidates (ObamaDemocrat, and Mc CainRepublican) have also gone on national television which was an interesting show (also watched by the same 66 million?) Meanwhile those elections being run by Canada (present Prime Minister Stephen Harper) and New Zealand (present Prime Minister Helen Clark) aren't/don't figure very much in the middle of the show ground charged atmosphere here.

I am going to Mexico with Tim and Rich to Puerto Vallarta. As a consequent, I have decided to try and learn Spanish. It does help that Tim did teach spanish and still has a great control of the language. Meanwhile I have less control and am building a spanish dialect of my own.

I am in the city of Colorado Springs visiting Zachary who visited me in New Zealand earlier this year in March. Some of the places we have include the "Garden of the Gods", a remarkable geological formation created over millions of years. Although Colorado Springs actually has no springs (although nearby Manitou Springs has) it has the Broadmoor Hotel and Golf course: a very expensive and impressive place to wander around.

Weather continues to cool down but there have been some brilliant days, with sun, with rain, but still scooter weather though.
